Restoration Projects

Ongoing Restoration & Preservation

Many hands

It Starts With Our Members
A large part of the Coalition's work here at the fort consists of restoration, preservation, and cleanup. Projects are researched and decided upon within the HFWC, then submitted to Detroit Parks and Rec for approval prior to commencement of work.

HFWC works to ensure the site looks as good as possible for weekly visitors and special events. We regularly organize our members' great ideas into succinct Statements of Work, then prioritize them for future work days. HFWC also regularly recruits businesses and other organizations to sponsor material costs and equipment rental.

All members are encouraged to submit ideas for projects around the fort. If you have an idea, please print and turn in this Idea Submission form.

If you have a project idea AND you have a good grasp of the labor and materials required, then submit this Statement of Work form.
